The National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) approved 14 merger operations during the month of July, including the acquisition of an Enagás subsidiary, the purchase of Cide HC Energía by Repsol and Cide Services, the control of ASR by Naturgy and Indra’s purchase of Park Air Systems.

Among the concentrations in the energy sector, the acquisition of the Reganosa group of 25% of the share capital of Musel from the company Enagás Transporte, which will maintain the remaining 75%, or the purchase by Repsol and Cide Services, the sole shareholder, stand out. from Cide HC Energía, from the trading company that bears the same name.

Also noteworthy is the acquisition of the asset purchase and sale company, ASR Wind, which owns twelve wind farms in operation, by Naturgy Renovables, a subsidiary of the Naturgy group, and the purchase by Indra of the English supply and maintenance company for radios, Park Air.

Regarding international operations, the purchase of Toshiba Corporation by the Japanese investment fund JIP stands out; the purchase of Dury and the Hestia group by the German company Melian, as well as the purchase of the multinational in the food sector, Foodiverse, by the American company Taylor Fresh and Ethernal.

In the socio-health field, the Hospitalario Recoletos group has acquired the companies IVI Sevilla, IVI Global Activos Inmobiliarios, Ginemed Zaragoza and Ginemed Murcia.

As for the financial sector, the purchase through Comercia, a joint venture between Caixabank and Global Payments, of the payment entity Universalpay as a whole stands out.

From the CNMC they have indicated that most of the sectors affected by these business operations were, among others, gambling, retail energy supply, and provision of health, educational and financial services.
