Romance in Baldur’s Gate 3: A Guide to Mizora

Romantic relationships in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be truly captivating or downright strange. However, there is one particular romance that offers a taste of a hellish paradise. In our Baldur’s Gate 3 Mizora romance guide, we will explore how you can experience a night with this cambion, a creature similar to a succubus. But be warned, this article contains spoilers.

To initiate the Mizora romance in Baldur’s Gate 3, you must ensure that both Mizora and Wyll survive throughout your playthrough. The option for a love scene with Mizora only becomes available during Act 3.

Unlike the other companions, Mizora does not have an approval system. However, based on our playthrough, we discovered that Shadowheart, our main romantic interest, was accepting of the relationship. This may be similar to the Halsin romance, where both characters are okay with “sharing” the main character. As for other companions such as Lae’zel or Astarion, their reactions to the Mizora romance are still unknown.

It is worth mentioning that our playthrough did not involve a romantic relationship with Wyll, so it remains unclear if a romantic encounter with Mizora would automatically end a relationship with Wyll, considering Mizora is his tormentor.

To start the Mizora romance, you will need to make specific decisions throughout the game. In Act 1, saving the Tiefling refugees in the Druid Grove is essential. In Act 2, agreeing to help Mizora find Zariel’s Asset will lead you to Mizora herself, who is trapped in a pod in the Mind Flayer Colony. In Act 3, talk to Mizora after reaching Wyrm’s Rock Fortress, where she will subsequently appear in your camp. It is crucial to save Mizora in the Mind Flayer Colony to progress the romance.

The love scene with Mizora, titled “The Flavors of Hell,” occurs after a few long rests and important conversations. During this scene, Mizora will tempt you with a proposition, and you can choose to either decline or proceed with the romance. Picking the right dialogue options will determine the outcome of the romance.

The next dialogue choices involve different realms and lands of hell. Although you won’t physically teleport to these locations, the descriptions will provide a vivid experience for your character. Visual effects, such as red flames or cold blue ice, will enhance the atmosphere.

Ultimately, Mizora will strip and approach your character. Choosing to step into Mizora’s outstretched wings will result in the two of you floating together while wrapped in a devil’s embrace.

The morning after the romance, Mizora will have a conversation with your character about what occurred. Depending on whether or not you already have a lover, their reaction may vary. In our case, Shadowheart expressed that Mizora was an inferior choice and reminded us of her superior qualities. However, she also acknowledged that everyone has their own needs. It is unclear how other companions would react, so it is advisable to keep a backup save file to explore different outcomes.

While our experience did not have any noticeable consequences, it is worth noting that Wyll disapproved of the romance. However, he remained in our group, and it is yet to be determined if there are any long-term effects.
