Antonella Lualdi is dead. The actress died in the Rome region where she was hospitalized, at the age of 92, according to the Italian press. The actress, known for her role in the series Les Cordiers, judge and cop broadcast on TF1 from 1992 to 2005 – she played the role of Lucia, the superintendent’s wife – had a brilliant career above all in Italy in the 1950s. She moved to the other side of the Alps from 1959, when she will play for Claude Chabrol in Double Turn (1959), then for Claude Sautet in Vincent, François, Paul… and the others (with Yves Montand and Gérard Depardieu for example).

The actress, born in Lebanon, will then experience a great period of hollow, until finding the screen and the celebrity in 1992. Her funeral will take place this Saturday, in Rome.
