It is already a reality. We have seen him perform two tests in recent months on a Ducati Desmosedici GP23 and now we will see him return to MotoGP. Álvaro Bautista has already made his decision and hhas chosen the Malaysian Grand Prix as the appointment where he will compete again in the premier class on a Ducati.

The Spanish rider recently commented that he had the option of doing a wildcard this season on the table, although Ducati initially offered him to do so at the Valencian Community Grand Prix. Finally, the man from Talavera has taken advantage of this holiday break and has made the decision to compete in Sepang during the month of November.

To see him in action with the rest of the MotoGP grid, we will have to wait until November 10, the date on which the Malaysian Grand Prix will take place and two weeks after the final round of the Superbike World Championship in the circuit of Jerez de la Frontera. For this reason, the Spanish’s priorities are clear and go through revalidating the title.

In a brief statement, Álvaro Bautista has shown his happiness for returning to a paddock that he knows really well and even more so on a track that he likes like Sepang: I am very happy to be able to race in MotoGP as a Wild Card in Sepang, a track that I really like and to which I am happy to return since it is not on the WorldSBK calendar”.

Recently, the Spaniard was able to test the Desmosedici GP23, a bike that gave him good feelings during the Misano tests, but he recalled that currently his priority is another and he is focused on the Superbike World Championship: “The tests with the Ducati Desmosedici GP have been positive: the sensations have been good and I had fun. I want to sincerely thank Ducati and Aruba.it because without them it would have been impossible to have this opportunity. At the same time, I would like to say that this MotoGP race will be an extra for me and not a priority. That’s why we must continue to focus on the WorldSBK Championship, which is the only thing that matters now.”

With his eyes set on the current Superbike season, the Spaniard hopes to continue to extend his overall lead. Of course, Michael’s teammate Rubén Rinaldi has other priorities right now and among them is that of disconnect and recover for a second half of the season with many appointments and races ahead: “I want to stay focused for this last part of the season, which will be very demanding, with many races in a short time. The sensations with the Panigale V4R are good and I hope to continue on this path. Then, when the season is over we will think about going to malaysia and have fun. Now I’ll take a little vacation, and then we’ll go back to Magny-Cours,” Álvaro Bautista concluded.
