Most of the significant increase has been allocated for a new budget for popular sports that will amount to NIS 3 million and a budget for Athena that will amount to NIS 12.5 million, ie an increase of NIS 3 million. This budget will see another increase in 2022 thanks to the enormous efforts invested in this area in the ministry.

Also, the budget of the basketball Premier League teams will not be affected and the budget of the women’s Premier League teams even increased compared to the previous year. In addition, the budget for the unique projects in the women’s associations will increase by twice as much as before.

It is important to emphasize that alongside the increase in budget the Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper passed A government decision to establish a public committee whose entire purpose is to promote women’s sports in Israel.
