A criminal faction Los Lobosconsidered the second largest in Ecuador, assumed responsibility for murder of Fernando Villavicencio, then candidate for the Presidency of Ecuador, this Wednesday (9). The politician was killed with three shots to the head.
The video of the statement released on social media shows a large number of hooded men with heavy weapons.
The group claims that corrupt politicians use money from organized crime to campaign for elections and that those who do not comply with the agreement will be killed.
“Each time corrupt politicians fail to fulfill the promises we make when they receive our money, which is millions of dollars, to finance their campaigns, they will be dismissed,” he said.
The group made threats and stated that what happened to Villavicencio will happen again if the corrupt do not keep their word.
Candidate Jan Topic was mentioned in the video, and the group stated that he is next on the list if he does not follow the agreement with the criminal organization.
