The Marita Verón case continues to resonate throughout the province and the different parties involved spoke out about the case. During today’s session, José Avellaneda, general secretary of the Luz y Fuerza union, spoke about the data that was known in recent days and made himself available to the courts to collaborate in the investigation.
Faced with these statements and in relation to the press conference held by the union entity, one of the lawyers of the María de los Ángeles Foundation, José D’antona, expressed:
“I am pleasantly surprised by Mr. Avellaneda because I did not expect these statements. Beyond some confusion, we, expressly in yesterday’s press conference, made a specific caveat about the trade union institution and the workers”.
The professional was highly satisfied with the statements of the trade union reference and maintained that “apparently they are different people from the previous management and for us this is good news.” He also confirmed that he spoke with Susana Trimarco about the situation and detailed that they ask the prosecution to take Avellaneda’s statements into consideration because they may be important for the investigation in general.
“I heard them say that they share Susana’s feeling and struggle, so I hope they can be actors who collaborate with this investigation. I hope we are facing a totally different driving. It may be that they did not deny the existence of the folder with Marita’s images, but I heard him very serene and forceful, saying that they were really at the disposal of justice. Finally, the foundation’s lawyer agreed with the union leader in one of his statements where he specified that “this is not the time to meet” but that he fervently hopes that at some point this can happen to continue clarifying the situation.
