Wissam Ben Yedder was indicted on Thursday for “rape, attempted rape and sexual assault”, reveals Nice morning, citing the Nice prosecutor’s office. The assistant to the public prosecutor specifies that a judicial investigation has been opened. His 25-year-old brother, also involved, was charged with the same charges of “rape, attempted rape and sexual assault”.
The facts date back to July 10, when during an evening in Beausoleil, a town in the Alpes-Maritimes near the principality, the footballer from Sarcelles (Val-d’Oise) and his brother allegedly imposed sexual acts on two young women, aged 19 and 20, whom they allegedly met earlier in the evening.
The French international (19 caps) has been placed under judicial control. The judicial police of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) is in charge of the investigations.
