THQ Nordic Reveals New South Park Game: Snow Day

Publisher THQ Nordic has finally unveiled its latest addition to the South Park gaming franchise, titled South Park: Snow Day. This upcoming 3D co-op multiplayer game is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in the coming year.

Centered around Cartman and his friends, South Park: Snow Day focuses on their excitement as they realize they have a day off from school due to the inclement weather. While details about the game are still scarce, it seems to have a fantasy-inspired theme, as Cartman is seen wearing his Grand Wizard King costume, and other children in the trailer are dressed in similar fantasy outfits.

The game is being developed by Question Games, a studio known for their work on 2015’s fantasy puzzle game, The Magic Circle, as well as the first-person co-op horror game, The Blackout Club, which was released in 2019.

South Park: Snow Day is the latest console game based on the popular South Park television series. The previous console title, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a 2D turn-based RPG developed by Ubisoft, was released in 2017. Meanwhile, the most recent South Park mobile game was the free-to-play real-time strategy title, South Park: Phone Destroyer, which was launched in 2017 for Android and iOS devices.

The unveiling of South Park: Snow Day was just one of several game announcements made by THQ Nordic during their recent digital showcase event. For more information on the event and other announcements, be sure to check out our Everything Announced roundup.
