Hundreds of immigrants from all over the world temporarily live in the old Roosevelt Hotel, a relic of Manhattan -a few blocks from the Chrysler Building and Central Station- that did not survive the pandemic. Faced with the crisis due to the constant arrival of new immigrants in the Big Apple, the New York authorities – who by law must guarantee a roof – have turned it into a Base Center for asylum seekers.
