At 8.57am, an alarming incident occurred in Hjuvik, on road 155, when two passenger cars collided. Authorities immediately responded to the scene, including the rescue service, two ambulances, a special unit, and a medical vehicle.

As of 9.20am, no one has been loaded into an ambulance, according to Konstantina Sarigiannidou from SOS Alarm. However, at ten o’clock, one person involved in the accident was taken away by ambulance. Meanwhile, the other driver, identified as a man, tested positive for alcohol during the police field sobriety test.

“It is about serious injuries for one of them. The other driver will probably be suspected of drunk driving, gross negligence in traffic, and causing bodily harm. But I don’t know for sure yet,” stated police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.

Both cars involved in the collision will be recovered for technical examination. The road, which had been closed due to the incident, was reopened to traffic at 10:20am.
