SADC records growth of around 4.8 percent

News from Angola – The Southern African Development Community (SADC) recorded economic growth of around 4.8 percent in 2022, relatively above the 4.7 percent in 2021, said today the President of the Council of Ministers, Teté Antonio.

The president of the SADC Council of Ministers was speaking on the sidelines of the ordinary session, having referred to the main challenges that the region faces in the adverse global context, there was a remarkable growth.
Teté António, highlighted the reduction in the obligations of the Member States, as a reflection of moderate management.

In Angola, the Summit takes place under the motto: “Human and financial capital: The main factors for the sustainable industrialization of the SADC region”, for the Republic of Angola, it does not derive from mere chance, but from the main challenges and opportunities that the country intends to achieve , via the presidency’s strategy and action plan already approved, and clearly indicates what is expected of citizens, families and institutions.

Angola initially assumed the Rotating Presidency of SADC in 2002 and in 2011, it is a founding member of the Community for the Development of Southern Africa (SADC) and shares, together with other States, a series of common objectives and strategies, but not only, aimed at improving of the living conditions of the populations of all member states.

SADC includes Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
