DIG/ Gabon and China aim to create a laboratory for the mining, metallurgy and materials sectors.
The announcement was made by the Gabonese Ministry of Mines after a mission conducted from July 22 to 29, 2023 in China in the city of Wuhan by the director of the cabinet of the Minister of Mines, Éric Damien Biyoghe Ella.
Both parties have signed a framework agreement for the realization of this project.
The works a framework for scientific and technological exchanges, personnel training, technology transfer and human exchanges.
“It is a structuring project that will develop and enhance Gabon’s mining potential, by boosting geological and mining research.
The materials and equipment are state-of-the-art, and Chinese expertise in this area is one of the best internationally.”, confided Éric Damien Biyoghe Ella.
