The president of the National Administration of Aqueducts and Sewers (ANDA), Rubén Alemán, said that with two loans they intend to solve the problems of water that is not accounted for. These loans are from the IDB and the World Bank.
Alemán pointed out that this unaccounted for water is due to the state of the pipes, fraudulent connections, the macro and micro measurement of the vital liquid is missing, these credits will contribute to reducing this loss of the resource, he stated.
The head of the autonomous company mentioned that with the IDB they will allocate $54 of $100 million for the rehabilitation of the North Zone system, they will improve and modernize this project.
«It will consist of drilling and laying another pipe. We are going to modernize, transform. On Friday we began a tour to recognize the wells where we are going to work, he asserted.
According to the president of the autonomous, with this project they will increase production by 20%, this as part of the improvements to the North Zone system.
