Director Q. Samuthirakani, who worked as an assistant director to Balachandran, made his directorial debut in 2003 with The Surrender to You. His first film under his direction won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Story.
This was followed by the super hit ‘Nomads’, directed by him and starring Sasikumar. Later he worked as a director in Kollywood directing films with different storylines like Fighter, Stand Up, Dad, Bizarre Will.
Samuthirakani, who proved himself to be a master actor through films like Daddy and Whip, won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for Vetrimaran’s investigative film. He is currently busy with acting and is mixing with Kollywood and Tollywood.
Currently he has in his possession dozens of films like Indian 2, Don, Andagan, RRR, Bhimla Naik, Sarkar Wari Patta, Maran, I am not God.
Meanwhile, actor Samuthirakani’s son Hari Vigneswaran has made his cinematic debut. He also started his journey as an all-rounder in acting and directing like his father. He has directed and starred in the short film Ignorant Directions. The short film is being produced by Samuthirakani through his company Nomads Productions.
