The differences between an F1 driver and MotoGP are… everything. The only thing they share is the professional work of piloting something, but they have nothing to do with each other. And if not, ask Lando Norris, who, taking advantage of the weekend back from MotoGP holidays, he was hanging around the Silverstone paddock.

Norris spent the weekend hanging around the paddock and enjoying the first-hand experience of MotoGP. He seems to get along too well with Fabio Quartararo, with whom he was exchanging helmets, and even the Frenchman explained in detail how the Yamaha M1 worked of MotoGP. Norris seemed even impressed, despite wearing an F1.

Then he enjoyed all the races, starting with the Moto3 one, where he got into Iván Ortolá’s box, with whom he made friends before going out on the track, and they seem to get along well. Then He even enjoyed the MotoGP podium celebration where Espargaró reigned over Bagnaia.

“I would love to, but I wouldn’t have to tell anyone what I’m doing. I would do it one hundred percent, I would try, but I would not go directly to MotoGP. That would be the end of me”said the F1 driver about the idea of becoming a motorcycle driver. He didn’t seem too fond of the idea.

Norris believes that this MotoGP thing “It’s crazy, these kids are crazy. Certainly crazier than Formula 1 drivers. You can see on TV that they are going fast, but you have to see them live. I am surrounded by a beautiful little car, but they are on a saddle with nothing else. They’re probably laughing at me because I’m wearing my seatbelt.“, he laughed.

On the technical differences between a motorcycle and an F1 car, Norris mentions that, obviously, “They are different“, but what “The bikes are a little faster on the straight, while F1 cars are a hundred times faster in the corners.”

He even went on to speak with the CEO of Dorna, Carmelo Ezpeleta: “Thanks for coming, and congratulations on your promotion, you’re making F1 more fun. I watch all the races”, the Spanish president told him.
