Almost a month later, North Korea has reported Travis King for the first time. On July 18, this US soldier deployed to South Korea took advantage of a guided tour of the inter-Korean border to run across the demarcation line. Pyongyang claimed on Wednesday that it was a deliberate act of flight to escape “inhumane mistreatment and racial discrimination” by the US military.
