The photovoltaic plant will cover 40% of the annual energy consumption of the Michik fish and aquaculture processor
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Prof. Deyan Stratev concluded contract in the amount of BGN 216,161, financed under the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Program (PMDR) 2014 – 2020. The approved candidate is “Michik” OOD. The support is under measure 5.4 “Processing of fishing and aquaculture products”.
The main economic activity of the company is the processing and canning of fish and fish products. A significant role in the company’s development strategy is allocated to the achievement of sustainable development through environmental protection and increasing resource efficiency. This aspect is widely reflected in the current project proposal, which is aimed at the modernization of an existing fish processing enterprise, which is located on the territory of the village of Sunny, Varna region. The investment envisages the construction of a photovoltaic electrical installation (PEI).
With the realization of the planned investment, the generated electricity is expected to cover up to 40% of the company’s annual consumption.
