Fulfilling an old wish The new headquarters of Ideas Multimedios was inaugurated this Saturday, months after founding this global entity that brings together the Cubadebate and Fidel Soldado de las Ideas sites, and the programs Round table, With Thread y Squaring the Box.
The appointment was attended the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee.
Díaz-Canel Bermúdez toured the building and highlighted the quality of the finished work. The property, in the Playa municipality, was remodeled in more than 60% of its facilities in just three months, the construction of the third floor and the assembly of solar panels the main contributions.
The president visited the photovoltaic park that will generate an important part of the electricity that Ideas Multimedios will consume, the first Cuban medium that will use renewable energy in its daily activities. The installation was assumed by the Camilo Cienfuegos Electronic Industry Company.

At the event, Alfonso Noya, president of the Institute of Information and Social Communication (IICS), gave recognition to the collective of Ideas Multimedios, and distinguished organizations and companies that participated in the reconstruction, such as Gelect, Telecable Internacional, Jardín Botánico Nacional, Gedeme, Xetid, Local Development Project Solutions, Pinturas Prodanco, Mindus, Office of Administration and Services and Etecsa.
As a climax, the troubadour Eduardo Sosa enlivened the meeting with the songs La bayamesa y I like it, mate.
The inauguration, in salute to the 97th birthday of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, has been part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of Cubadebate.
