Learning about road safety and mobility in cities is also possible online and with qualified experts.

Cemex created the Mission Zero Strategy Educational Platform, a free course with a systemic approach based on the principles promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO).

In this way, those who enter the platform learn about road safety and mobility in cities and with qualified experts.

The digital self-learning tool is a space that gathers valuable information, as part of the program promoted by the company since 2018 to reduce deaths and injuries due to traffic accidents in the country to zero.

The idea was born in 2021, during the Covid-19 pandemic, as a form of digital and remote training on road safety.

The Mission Zero Strategy Educational Platform is structured into five modules with scientific evidence and a human approach, in which experts explain the concepts of driver education through videos and animations.

In addition, the digital tool has case studies in which civil organizations such as Mapasin and the Safe Mobility Coalition participate.
Regarding Mapasin, the methodology of safe streets for cyclists is explained, while the coalition tells the story and the efforts to achieve the General Law of Mobility and Road Safety in Mexico.

People who graduate from this self-study course are called Agents Cero, giving them a certificate.

For the construction materials company, road safety is the set of policies aimed at controlling risk factors with the aim of preventing and reducing deaths and serious injuries caused by traffic accidents.

This effort is part of the Academia Cero line of action, which is the face-to-face training in road safety that the company carries out for civil organizations, private initiative and authorities, within the Mission Strategy program.

All this effort is aimed at reducing the number of 16 thousand people who die annually due to traffic accidents.

This self-learning tool, accessible to the public, will not only help raise awareness about the problem, it will also allow people to learn about sustainable mobility.

The Educational Platform was launched on July 17 and, for more information, it can be consulted at
