Leo Messi in warm-up (Reuters)
After being diagnosed as positive for Corona earlier this week, Leo Messi flew today (Wednesday) on a private jet from Argentina back to Paris after returning two negative tests. The flea, who was in solitary confinement in Buenos Aires, was documented with his family at the airport in his country.
The Argentine is still in doubt for the game against Lyon on Sunday, with France reporting that he may return to training today, but is expected to wait until tomorrow. Mauricio Pochettino’s team have had quite a few Corona cases recently, the last of which is that of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donaroma, who was diagnosed positive yesterday.
Lakip added that the Argentine suffered from a number of symptoms as a result of the corona, which prevented him from properly completing the training program of Pochettino and his team during the isolation. In Paris Saint-Germain they will therefore be careful with the star’s comeback to the pitches.
