Opinion Poll Predicts National Democratic Alliance Victory in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections
According to a recent opinion poll conducted by news channel TimesNow, if the elections to the Parliament were held today, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure a majority. The poll suggests that NDA is likely to win between 296 to 326 seats, while the opposition alliance may secure around 160 to 190 seats.
The survey indicates that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s influence has significantly grown in the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. This increase in popularity bodes well for the BJP-led alliance in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where they have a high chance of securing a majority. If this prediction turns out to be accurate, it would mean that Modi would become the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, equaling Jawaharlal Nehru’s record.
Speaking about the achievements and future plans of the BJP, Prime Minister Modi recently addressed the nation from Delhi’s Red Fort on Independence Day. He mentioned that on August 15 of the following year, he would present a comprehensive list of the country’s development and achievements, just like he did from the same Red Fort on this year’s Independence Day.
While the poll focused on the NDA and the BJP’s prospects, it also shed light on the performance of state parties not aligned with any coalition. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress party is projected to win 24 to 25 seats, indicating a strong presence in the state. In Telangana, Chief Minister Chandrashekhar’s Bharat Telangana Rashtriya Samithi Party is likely to secure 9 to 11 seats. Meanwhile, in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Party (BJD) is expected to win 12 to 14 seats, consolidating its position in the state.
While the opinion poll provides insights into the current political landscape, it is important to note that actual election outcomes may vary. The April-May 2024 Lok Sabha elections will undoubtedly bring further excitement and speculation as the nation waits to see the true verdict of the people.
