ICC Test Ranking: Jaspreet Bumra and Shamim gain; KL Rahul improved, Kohli dropped

Dubai: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has moved up in the ICC Test bowlers’ rankings. Bumrah, who improved three places, returned to the top ten. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabda improved one place to sixth. The performance in the first Test between South Africa and India helped both of them.

In the first Test at Centurion, Bumrah took four wickets in two innings. Mohammed Shami also took eight wickets. Shami improved two places to 17th. Rabada took seven wickets for Centurion. Lungi Ngidi, who took eight wickets, improved 16 matches to finish 30th.

Australia captain Pat Cummins remains in first place. R Ashwin, Shaheen Afridi, Tim Southee and James Anderson are in the top five. Josh Hazlewood dropped to seventh while Rabada improved one place. Neil Wagner is eighth. Mitchell Stark is 10th.

KL Rahul has improved his position in the batsmen’s rankings. He improved 18 places to 31st. He scored a century in South Africa. Mayank Agarwal is 11th.

Virat Kohli dropped two places to ninth. Apart from Kohli, Rohit Sharma (5) is in the top ten. Rishabh Pant (16), Cheteshwar Pujara (22) and Ajinkya Rahane (25) are the other players in the list.
