WASHINGTON – The US wants to impose new tariffs on metal for food cans from China, Germany and Canada for the time being. Corresponding products from the People’s Republic should be subject to a rate of 122.5 percent on the import value and thus the highest of the three countries, the US Department of Commerce announced on Thursday in Washington.
