Top-Ranked Cardinals Prospect Masyn Winn Promoted to the Big Leagues
ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Cardinals have made a major roster move, promoting their top-ranked prospect, shortstop Masyn Winn, to the big leagues. The announcement was made late Thursday night following the Cardinals’ 4-2 loss to the New York Mets. Lars Nootbaar, who sustained an injury in Wednesday’s game, was placed on the 10-day injured list to clear space on the roster for Winn.
