The spread of violence by armed gangs in the Haitian capital continues to force Haitians to flee their homes. At least 5,000 residents of the Carrefour-Feuilles neighborhood, attacked in recent weeks by gang members from Grand Ravine, have been forced to leave their homes. Violence by armed gangs has claimed more than 2,400 lives since the beginning of the year, the UN said on Friday.
