Two prominent filmmakers, Nersys Teresita Felipe Herrera and José Gabriel Ramírez Cal, are the recipients of the 2023 National Radio Award, the highest award conferred by that medium in Cuba.

As for Nersys Felipe, as the award-winning and beloved writer, winner of the 2011 National Literature Award, is simply known, she points out that she has brought “her valuable and multi-award-winning work” to the children’s programming of the Radio Guamá station, and right now she has returned to the studios for the recording of the stories of the APK Cuentos de la Abuela, which will be distributed soon, on the 55th anniversary of the Radio Guamá Dramatic Group, which he illuminated so much with his talent.
From Pinar del Río, where Nersys was born and lives, the PL agency reported that the awarding of the Prize triggered jubilation among both art growers and the people.

Nersys Felipe made her debut as an announcer on local radio in the 1960s and was part of the founding group of the dramatic group of the Radio Guamá station, where she remained for more than four decades as a scriptwriter and narrator.
