Two prominent filmmakers, Nersys Teresita Felipe Herrera and José Gabriel Ramírez Cal, are the recipients of the 2023 National Radio Award, the highest award conferred by that medium in Cuba.

From Pinar del Río, where Nersys was born and lives, the PL agency reported that the awarding of the Prize triggered jubilation among both art growers and the people.
