After it became known a few days ago that husband Sam Asghari from Britney Spears is getting divorced after just 14 months of marriage, the pop star is now speaking up on Instagram herself.
Spears ‘can’t hold back her pain any longer’
She is addressing the divorce rumors with a signature dance video, which sees her in neon green panties, black boots and a crop top as she dances to the song “If” by Janet Jackson. Under the video she writes: “As everyone knows, Hesam [iranischer Vorname von Asghari] and I’m no longer together… six years is a long time, so I’m a bit shocked…”. Despite the media attention, she didn’t want to go into the reasons for the breakup, because they were “nobody’s business”.
But she can no longer hold back her pain, she explains. In the last few days she has received a lot of supportive messages from her friends that “melted her heart”. She would like to thank you for this. Although she has always shown her strong side on Instagram lately, the image she conveyed is “very far from reality”. She would also have liked to show her “emotions and tears” better, but she was unable to do so because she had the feeling that she “always had to hide her weaknesses for some reason”.
Asghari files for divorce over ‘irreconcilable differences’
It’s Spears’ third marriage. She was married to childhood friend Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004 and to Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007, with whom she has sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Asghari met and fell in love with her six years ago while shooting the music video “Slumber Party”. The two were a couple for five years before saying “yes” to each other in June last year.
The happiness of the two seemed perfect at first, the hope was high that Spears had finally arrived under her father’s long guardianship after years of emotional chaos between relationships, divorces and custody disputes. But “irreconcilable differences” ultimately led Asghari to seek a divorce — a circumstance that insiders close to Spears have described as “devastating.”
Asghari has become a rock in the surf for the 41-year-old in recent years. Losing him now is extremely problematic for the singer, for example, an insider said to “People” just a few days ago. As recently as last year, Spears publicly described Asghari as the “love of her life”. There had been rumors of relationship problems between the two earlier this year, as Spears and Asghari were spotted without a wedding ring.
