As part of the Frequency Festival in St. Pölten, 1,383 people were cared for by the Red Cross by Saturday morning. According to the helpers, the trend is towards an increase compared to the previous year. Above all, abrasions and cuts were recorded, followed by insect bites, headaches and circulatory problems. The event in the Lower Austrian provincial capital will be musically finalized on Saturday with Kraftklub, KIZ and Armin van Buuren, among others.

According to Sebastian Frank, the managing director of the district office of the Red Cross in St. Pölten, a total of 48 people were transferred from the festival to the university hospital in the city. The processes work smoothly. “The cooperation with the University Hospital St. Pölten, especially the Ortho-Trauma Center and the Emergency Center, works excellently. This ensures optimal care for the festival visitors affected,” emphasized the senior emergency doctor Serge Weinmann in a broadcast.

City police commander Franz Bäuchler was also satisfied with his interim assessment. “It has never been so quiet and pleasant,” he said in the APA interview. There would be a “small range” of thefts. In general, the executive is increasingly focusing on prevention and talks.

The ÖAMTC also continued to see the festival going smoothly. The employees therefore had room to smile. Spokeswoman Romana Schuster reported a “repeat offender” who approached the automobile club on Friday because he had lost the key to his car. The same had happened to the man in June at Nova Rock in Nickelsdorf (Neusiedl am See district). Now the person concerned wants to buy two spare keys.

After the end of the concerts on Sunday night, the first part of the festival guests is likely to leave. The ÖAMTC therefore appealed to drivers to report any known problems with the car to the club on Saturday afternoon. In this way, a more rapid processing of the damage cases can be guaranteed.

Meanwhile, the third Frequency day also promised sun and hot weather for the festival guests at the Traisen. By midday, the temperatures were already approaching the 30-degree mark with an almost cloudless sky.
