There are no small savings. According to Sports world and Sport, FC Barcelona would have decided to put an end to a 25-year-old tradition. Indeed, the Catalan club will abolish the taxis set up to bring young people, who lived outside Barcelona, ​​to the training center and then bring them home after training, often late at night, to be able to make savings.

This program called “Masia 360” aimed to support the young people of the academy in their development and to facilitate their journeys. 80% of the young nuggets of the club were concerned by this service, which had around thirty vehicles and around forty drivers. And to replace these taxis, Barça leaders have decided to set up buses with specific routes that will cross cities such as Tarragona, Lleida, Girona and Manresa.

Parents could withdraw their children from La Masia

But there is a catch. Still according to the two Catalan dailies, some parents would consider withdrawing their children from the FC Barcelona training center, because of this new mode of transport. According to Mundo Deportivo, parents now have to drive their children themselves to bus stops. A situation that could complicate their schedules.
