On August 20, a section of the road will be completely blocked in the center of Baku.
This was announced by the chief inspector of the State Traffic Police Department of the Main Police Department of Baku city, Police Major Araz Askerli, Trend reports.
According to him, movement along Academician Zarifa Aliyeva Street in the Sabail district of the capital will be completely restricted.
The restrictions are related to the laying of a new asphalt pavement on a section of the street from Azadlyg Avenue (near the Government House) to the intersection with Bulbul Avenue (near the Sahil metro station).
The police major noted that drivers need to use a detour through Uzeyir Hajibayli Street – past the Government House straight to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street, and then straight to Bulbul Avenue, then left, past the Sahil metro station, after right, to Zarifa Aliyeva Street and further to the Azneft circle.
“Drivers are advised to take this into account when driving and use alternative roads,” Araz Askerli stressed.
