Yesterday the Plaça de les Botxes de la Devesa became again the chosen space for one of the concerts of the cycle “Notes in the Park”. On this occasion it was the turn of soprano Tina Gorina and pianist Stanislav Angelov with his recital “Feelings”.

Before the pair filled the park with their music, the audience slowly gathered in front of the stage, waiting for the concert to begin. Among the spectators was Concepcion, who explained that it was not the first year that she attended the cycle, and although he preferred other styles of musiclike that of the Friends of the Arts group, yesterday he decided to give classical music a chance.

Right behind him were Isabel and Antoni, who heard about the concert through television and who hoped they would like it, since the artist was renowned and so far no concert in the cycle had disappointed them.

Nearby, Vivi waited patiently for the performance to begin with her two daughters. He remarked that the cycles are a way for them to get to know all kinds of music and, for her part, she hoped that the performance would relax her, but that the singer’s voice would be shocking.

Another of the spectators was Manpreet, who heard about the concert thanks to the programs found in different establishments in the city. He said that he had attended the last Wednesday’s concert by pianist Roman Lopatynskyi and that she was mesmerized by his sleight of hand and also by the stage lights, which she believes give a “magical” image in the Devesa park.

The concert was not only attended by Girona residents and citizens close to the province. Among the attendees was the Sophie, Erasmus student who just two days ago had arrived in Girona. He explained that he was walking around Devesa when he saw the piano, and after finding out about it on the Internet, he decided to stay for the concert because he really likes classical music.

Repeaters of the cycle and others who experienced it for the first time, Girona residents and European tourists, children and grandparents. Despite the wide variety of assistants, all of them had one thing in common: the moment he started the performance, they participated in the collective silence that only the soprano and the pianist filled with their music.
