Sublime landscapes that are only slowly being discovered even by the locals: on the way along Sweden’s Höga Kusten.
Ronja the robber’s daughter is of course capable of anything, but could she jump seven meters? You stand in front of Slåttdalsskrevan, look along the thirty meter high walls and imagine the girl flying over the gorge in an Olympic leap.
The fact that the jump scene from Astrid Lindgren’s classic was filmed here is only a rumor, but the rumor persists. From the top, the gorge looks as if a giant has hacked into the granite with a gigantic axe. At the entrance, a rock has fallen like a plug into the canyon, in front of it roots are intertwined like at a temple gate of Angkor Wat.
