Six new deputies will push the doors of the National Assembly from September 25, replacing the elected officials appointed to the government on July 20. The new entrants will be welcomed on Wednesday August 30 by the president of the Renaissance group, Sylvain Maillard, who himself replaced Aurore Bergé, new minister of solidarity and families.

Rarely called upon, these reservists are forced to suddenly reorganize their professional and family life. Some of them have not yet found a place to stay, like Laurent Leclercq (MoDem), 52, the former mayor of Toury (Eure-et-Loir) and deputy to Philippe Vigier, became minister delegate in charge of the overseas territories. “It was an emotional lift! », confides Virginie Lanlo (UDI), 55, the first deputy mayor of Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine), who becomes deputy for the eighth constituency of the department to replace Prisca Thevenot, appointed Secretary of State in charge of youth and universal national service.

To replace Thomas Cazenave, appointed minister delegate in charge of public accounts, the new deputy for the first constituency of Gironde, Alexandra Martin (Renaissance), 47, had to suspend her employment contract at the head of the management of a center of training in industrial trades. “With a fairly developed social fiber”she nevertheless assumes that her new status as an MP will allow her to “give more visibility” to the many projects it has carried out in the fields of the social and solidarity economy and housing.

Preparation of files

Same observation on the side of Philippe Frei, 54, who has just become deputy for the third constituency of Côte-d’Or, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, following the appointment of Fadila Khattabi as deputy minister in charge of People with Disabilities. To hope “bringing his left-wing sensibility”this Enedis executive, employed for twenty years in the company, has suspended his employment contract.

While waiting for the thorny debates that are looming for the start of the school year, the deputies have spent the last few weeks preparing their files. That of the first constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône, Didier Parakian (Renaissance), 59, delivers his project, his « bataille » : “to make Marseille the capital of the Euro-Mediterranean”defends the former deputy mayor and vice-president of the metropolis. “I will proudly wear the deputy’s scarf without disappointing those who trusted us”, assures the one who succeeds Sabrina Agresti-Roubache, who has become Secretary of State in charge of the city.
