More than 3,000 families benefited from scholarships in the 2022-2023 school year
Cancun, QR, August 21, 2023.- As part of the benefits for their efforts in the classroom and being encouraged to avoid school dropouts, the Benito Juárez City Council headed by the Municipal President, Ana Paty Peralta, made the payment of scholarships corresponding to the period January-June of the 2022-2023 School Cycle, corresponding to the municipal program “Educational Quality and Promotion of Human Development”, which benefits 1,708 primary school students.
The delivery of this scholarship was carried out in the Multiple Use Room of the Industrial and Services Technological Baccalaureate Center (Cbtis 111), where the First Municipal Authority indicated that this program benefited 3,228 students from the special levels, preschool, primary, secondary, upper middle and higher.
“I want to tell you that in this administration and this year we increased the number of scholarships, it is the largest number of scholarships we have had throughout the history of our municipality,” he assured in front of the parents who attended to receive this support. for their families,
Students accompanied by their parents or guardians attended at the assigned time according to the initial of their first surname. Symbolically, four checks were delivered to the same number of students, who were motivated by the economic incentive provided through the Municipal Secretariat of Social and Economic Development, under its owner Berenice Sosa Osorio.
On the other hand, the Mayor reiterated to the Cancunenses present that in the next few days the delivery of more than 129,000 packages of school supplies will begin for students from 428 schools at all educational levels in support of the family economy, since it implies a saving in the purchase of the same, reiterating that in Cancun full support for education is endorsed.
