MSP and GAD Municipal Rumiñahui signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement – ​​Ministry of Public Health

This afternoon, the Minister of Public Health, José Ruales, and Fabián Iza, mayor of the Municipal Autonomous Decentralized Government (GAD) of the Rumiñahui canton, participated in the signing of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement within the framework of the National Healthy Municipalities Program and the National Market Strategy healthy.

The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) leads this initiative at the national level with the aim of encouraging GADs throughout the country to comprehensively address the determinants that influence the health status of the population, improving the well-being and quality of life of the citizenry.

With the signing of this agreement, the GAD Rumiñahui commits to promote and generate healthy public policies, encourage citizen participation in decision-making, share experiences related to the development and well-being of the population with other municipalities, implement local strategies to promote health, execute actions and projects to influence the determinants of health in this town.

The Minister ratified his commitment to support the canton in the construction of healthy strategies. “It is important to integrate and articulate actions aimed at the citizens of Rumiñahui, generating spaces with optimal conditions that allow them to enjoy life and thus avoid health risks.”

For his part, the mayor of Rumiñahui, Fabián Iza, thanked and congratulated this important initiative of the MSP that promotes the prevention and promotion of health in all the cantons of Ecuador and promised to advance in the fulfillment of indicators to achieve certification. . “Without a doubt we will improve the quality of life of our dear inhabitants,” he said.
