Another circular regarding civil servants will be released today

The circular raising the retirement age of civil servants to 65 will be tabled today (06).

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has announced that the circular will be tabled in line with the budget proposal for 2022.

However, when the announcement was made, the Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association protested, stating that the retirement age should be raised to 62.

The Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association has stated in a letter to the relevant party that it opposes plans to increase the retirement age to 65.

In this context, it is noteworthy that it has been announced that a circular will be issued today (06).
