Justin Timberlake and Benicio del Toro will star in Reptiles (Reptile); This duo prepares their arrival in one of Netflix’s upcoming police thrillers.
Infobae highlighted that the singer and actor of Red Social (The Social Network) y Palmerwill return to the big screen at the hands of the Hollywood veteran.
The story will follow the two in an intense police investigation that promises to engage viewers from start to finish.
Del Toro will play Detective Tom Nichols, who relentlessly pursues a murderer, but his past seems to be the only thing standing in his complicated path.
The 56-year-old actor, in conversation with Netflix, described his character as “a man of destiny” who receives a second chance, only to face a reckoning, highlighted Infobae.
“There were a couple of moments that I like to call ‘Oh damn!’ that also motivated me to get involved,” he said of the project.
The plot of the film revolves around the brutal murder of a young real estate agent.
As Nichols delves into the investigation, he is confronted with the illusions of his own life.
Justin Timberlake, who will play the role of the victim’s husband, Will, expressed his enthusiasm for the storytelling sequence, likening it to a suspense soap opera that one cannot stop reading.
He noted, “I liked the idea of playing a character who has to constantly react to the unpredictable.”
Alicia Silverstone, in the role of Judy, the wife of Detective Nichols, reunites with del Toro after their collaboration in Excess baggageof 1997.
This reunion, as described by both actors, has been more than pleasant and, together with Timberlake in the cast, they are before a trio of talented actors who promise to surprise on the platform of streaming.
“After the brutal murder of a young real estate agent, a seasoned detective tries to uncover the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems and, in doing so, dispels the illusions of his own life,” describes the official synopsis of Netflix.
Before being in the catalog of the streaming platform, the film can be seen for the first time next September as part of the Toronto International Film Festivalone of the most important celebrations of the moment and where other international titles will also be presented.
This projection will be a month before its global launch in the red “N”.
