JAKARTA – DPRD DKI Jakarta ask DKI Pemprov related policies Work From Home (WFH) for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to be re-evaluated. This is because the desire to reduce air pollution requires more support from the people of Jakarta, not just civil servants.

Head of Commission D DKI Jakarta Ida Mahmudah said that it was feared that the WFH policy for ASN would not go well. Because, to reduce air pollution requires more support from the people of Jakarta.

“I asked to be evaluated. Are they WFH at home, or are they traveling. So the hope is that they really don’t walk at home anymore,” said Ida at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (22/8/2023).

“The hope is for the policies being implemented to reduce pollution in Jakarta. But can this work well, all of which require the support of the entire people of DKI Jakarta and its buffer zones,” he continued.

Commission D has also held a meeting with the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency (DLH), to discuss air pollution. Currently, apart from WFH, the DKI Provincial Government is working on Weather Modification Technology (TMC) to create artificial rain, in order to reduce Jakarta’s pollution.

However, the results from the TMC did not go smoothly because the clouds in Jakarta did not support making artificial rain. “The hope is that after this meeting, there are a number of things that can be resolved. Yesterday, we originally wanted to make artificial rain, but earlier the results of the presentation showed that the clouds did not support making artificial rain,” he said.
