An attractive anniversary stand will welcome exhibitors and visitors on September 14 and 15

The European Commission chose the Plovdiv International Fair as the first stop in our country in its traveling project dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creation of a single European market. The initiative presents the benefits of common EU rules that guarantee the free movement of people, goods, services and capital. The goal is for more European citizens to become familiar with the facts and opportunities that European economic integration brings. Entrepreneurs seeking to expand their business can also get a lot of useful information. Therefore, the project managers purposefully chose the 77th edition of the International Technical Fair. The autumn industrial exhibition in Plovdiv is a platform for business contacts and a chance for future partnerships. For this reason, the attractive stand of the European Commission will welcome visitors and exhibitors on September 14 and 15. To ensure that the single market remains a common good that delivers results for all people in the EU, the Commission is constantly working to develop it in new areas. Meetings with institutions sharing responsibility for the effective implementation of single market rules are part of the anniversary tour. Such are planned in Plovdiv as well.

The single European market was created on January 1, 1993, after the signing of the Maastricht Treaty on February 7, 1992. Initially, it included 12 countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom. Today, the single market consists of 27 member states, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, with Switzerland having partial access.
