The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Franco, has advanced that the body he directs will act with respect to the complaints they have received for the kiss of Luis Rubiales to Jenni Hermoso during the celebration of the World Cup as soon as they know the result of the extraordinary assembly of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) that will take place on Friday.

In an interview in ‘Cope’, Franco acknowledges that he spoke with Rubiales about a subject that he considers “serious”, stating that the RFEF president was “deeply concerned” with what had happened. Regarding a possible resignation, he assures that it is a decision that “is up to him” to make.

“What I can assure you is that the Government has said what it has said: it is unacceptable and we will do to prove the transparency of the case,” he added. Finally, he has insisted that they will act immediately on the possible transfer of the complaints they have received to the TAD: “We are going to act as soon as we have this report -from the assembly-. Let no one worry.”
