The Kyrgyz parliament was unable to collect a quorum for a meeting on the situation in Kazakhstan. According to the speaker Talant Mamytov, only 40 out of 90 deputies have been registered.

Meanwhile, legislators were supposed to discuss the issue of the participation of the Kyrgyz military in the CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan.

Recall that the decision to urgently convene the deputies was made today as part of the instructions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.

Meanwhile, in accordance with the decision of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic and the CSTO Council, Kyrgyzstan confirmed its readiness to provide all-round support to Kazakhstan and, to the extent necessary, fulfill allied obligations within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and in connection with the appeal of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev. This was announced at an emergency meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic by its head Akylbek Zhaparov.

The Kyrgyz deputies are expected to discuss the situation in Kazakhstan and the participation of the Kyrgyz military in the CSTO mission tomorrow.
