The Police Region Bergslagen in Örebro County is currently searching for a Group Manager for Informant Operations. This position is part of the intelligence section and is responsible for the execution of assignments and driving the agency’s change and development work. The Group Manager for Informant Operations will report to the section manager and be part of the section’s management team. The role involves being jointly responsible for the execution of assignments and driving the agency’s change and development work. The successful candidate will have a special responsibility for the group’s activities and their results. They will also represent the entire Police Authority internally and externally, working to strengthen trust in police operations.
Informant activities play a crucial role in intelligence gathering, often acting as a decisive piece of the puzzle in criminal investigations. As the Group Manager, the responsibilities include overseeing informant operations in the police region and participating in the national forum for informant operations. The group consists of controllers and handlers, with the Regional Controller providing support in checking and following up on the business.
In addition to experience in intelligence activities, at least six months of continuous experience as a supervisor, project manager, or similar role in the past five years is required. Police exam certification is also necessary. Experience in leading others towards set goals and results, working in informant activities, and executive and leadership training are considered meritorious.
Leadership and personal qualities are highly valued in the selection process. The chosen candidate will have to demonstrate abilities in analysis and holistic view, goals and results, development and change, social security, and oral and written communication.
