An unexpected turn of events unfolded when comedian and actor Kevin Hart challenged former New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley to a 40-yard dash. The friendly competition took a painful turn for Hart as he tore his lower abdomen and hip abductors, leaving him in a wheelchair for the next 6-to-8 weeks.

Hart took to social media to share the news of his injury, and to the surprise of many, Ridley responded by blaming a former teammate, Tom Brady, for the unfortunate incident. Ridley jokingly stated on his Instagram Story, “I SAW @TOMBRADY DO IT AT YOUR AGE SO I FIGURED YOU HAD THE JUICE TOO BIG BRO!” He continued, “MY BAD @KEVINHARTFOREAL! HEAL UP AND KEEP MAKING US ALL LAUGH!”

Brady, who retired earlier this year after 23 seasons in the NFL, never possessed great speed but was known for his intelligence and success on the field. The seven-time Super Bowl champion rushed for 28 touchdowns, showcasing his prowess in the goal-line plunge.

While the reason behind Hart’s decision to challenge a former NFL player remains a mystery, the actor expressed his regret in an Instagram video. Speaking to his 178 million followers, Hart described himself as “the dumbest man alive” and questioned his actions, saying, “What the f–k am I doing???? I blew my s–t…I’m done. FML.”

Hart’s unfortunate injury serves as a warning to all aging individuals participating in strenuous activities. Respecting the limitations of age is crucial to avoid the consequences that Father Time can impose.

Stevan Ridley, known for his successful NFL career, was no slouch either. As a third-round pick by the Patriots in 2011, Ridley had an impressive season in 2012, rushing for a career-high 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots in XLIX before playing for the Jets and later spending time with various other teams.

For now, Kevin Hart will have to focus on his recovery and, hopefully, learn from this experience.
