Friedberg (har). During the 15th “Elvis Weekend” last weekend on Elvis-Presley-Platz, Günter Kiefer, President of the Elvis-Presley-Verein Bad Nauheim/Friedberg (EPV), made a donation of 300 euros to Hans-Peter Schäfer , the chairman of the Hospizhilfe Wetterau. “This has become a nice tradition for us and also a matter close to our hearts,” said Kiefer, who explained that the donation came from a collection during the “Friedberg Plays” campaign.

Schäfer thanked the EPV for the renewed donation. “Hospice care sounds a bit like death and dying, but dying is part of life,” said Schäfer, who pointed out that the hospice care home on Fichtenstrasse is a community-based hospice that is looked after on a voluntary basis. “This place is financed exclusively by donations.” Schäfer pointed out two similarities between the two clubs: “We’re both celebrating our 25th anniversary this year, and both clubs are celebrating life.”
