CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Thousands of FirstEnergy customers in Northeast Ohio are facing power outages due to the severe storms that swept through the area from Wednesday into early Friday morning.

As of 1:45 a.m. on Friday, an alarming 269,471 Ohio FirstEnergy customers were reported to be without power. This number has seen a significant increase from 223,214 at 1:18 a.m. and 177,000 at 1 p.m.
