Xbox Series S will not have split-screen co-op.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been confirmed to release this year on Xbox following uncertainty over its release date due to split-screen issues in the Xbox Series S version of the game.
The head of Larian, the developer studio of the title, Swen Vincke confirmed that the game will not have a split-screen cooperative mode in the Xbox Series S versionwhich sounds like a compromise that had to be made to get the game ready for release this year.
All improvements will be there, with split-screen coop on Series X. Series S will not feature split-screen coop, but will also include cross-save progression between Steam and Xbox Series.
