Fabien Roussel cultivates his difference with LFI on the future of Nupes
Nupes is “a coalition of political forces” who does not “must not become a political force”said Saturday the national secretary of the PCF, Fabien Roussel, while the parties composing it are preparing to leave alone for the European elections of 2024.
“I consider that to win, the left must strengthen, [elle] must work together and be prepared to govern and [elle] must also respectsaid the deputy from the North during a press briefing on the sidelines of his party’s summer university in Strasbourg.
“If this coalition of leftist and environmentalist forces is to continue, it must progress in this direction. Nupes is a coalition of political forces [LFI, EELV, PCF, PS, Générations]it must not become a political force”he continued.
Referring to the majority party of Nupes, LFI, he confided that he had “sometimes the impression” that its managers “want to make it a political formation, a political movement”. “They are obsessed with one thing, (…) the question of a single candidate for all elections”he lamented. “When the left is more concerned with the noise it makes than with the solutions to be built, the French men and women turn away from it”he said a little later during his speech to a few hundred activists.
