The capping continues. TotalEnergies is continuing its commitment to freezing the price of its fuel at 1.99 euros per liter in France until the end of 2023. “In the current context of rising fuel prices, TotalEnergies is continuing to implement implementation of its commitment to its customers”, writes the French group in a press release published today.

“Today, 2,200 service stations out of 3,400 already benefit from this measure since the price of at least one fuel is currently capped at 1.99 euros per liter”, says the energy company. In February, TotalEnergies announced that the price of gasoline and diesel would be capped at 1.99 euros at all of its 3,400 stations from March 1 until the end of the year.

Job creation for gas station attendants

But that’s not all. “300 service stations will welcome gas station attendants in 2024”, announces TotalEnergies, which explains that it wants to promote “proximity” with its “motorist customers”.

And this year, the group has decided to reopen 20 rural stations in France. An investment strategy “in rural areas to allow the maintenance of its network of service stations which provide a local service to the French”.
