A policeman used his firearm on Monday in Amiens (Somme) after refusing to comply, indicate our colleagues from France Blue. No one was injured and the driver of the vehicle was eventually arrested.
The incident took place in the early afternoon in the north of the city. The driver of a car who was about to be checked by police officers from the anti-crime brigade (bac) allegedly reversed and hit the police vehicle. One of the police officers would then have used his weapon once without touching the suspect, the bullet ending its course in the windshield, on the passenger side.
The driver who had managed to flee was arrested a little further. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the judicial police. Another investigation was also opened by the IGPN as each time a police officer uses his weapon in intervention.
